Purposes of cookies
Megapari uses cookies for the following purposes:
monitoring website usage – to analyse user behaviour and collect internal statistics;
improving the user experience – for example, automatically detecting your language and time zone, displaying the interface with settings previously selected by a specific user, and even automatic login;
remembering user preferences – similar in meaning to the previous point, this helps the Megapari interface to ‘remember’ your favourite games and game genres;
personalised adverts – adverts, including those on other websites, will be more closely tailored to your interests: you’re more likely to see adverts for a new promotion from the bookmaker than for something you’ve never been interested in.
Types of cookies
The cookies used by Megapari are divided into strictly essential ones and those which players can opt out of. Essential cookies are designed to ‘recognise’ the user – opting out of them will make it impossible to use the site’s interface, as the system will interpret the visitor’s actions as disjointed, as if they were different users. However, some cookies – for example, those designed to personalise adverts – can be disabled without any adverse effect; it simply means that, going forward, adverts will be displayed to the user at random, without being tailored to their interests or previous actions.
Cookie Management
Cookies are stored directly on the user’s device, and it is the user who decides which cookies are created and which can be deleted. When you first visit the Megapari interface, your browser will ask which cookies may be created – you are free to reject all of them (though this will cause issues with using the site as a specific player), accept all of them, or accept some cookies by selecting only those you consider necessary.
Every browser also has a function to clear cookies – this is useful, for example, in situations where the system has malfunctioned and is not working properly. After doing this, the next time you visit Megapari, you will be asked again which cookies to allow, and you can change your decision from what it was previously. Once the cookies have been cleared, the newly created files will no longer contain information about your previous actions, which may affect how the interface loads – you may need to select your language and adjust the display settings again.
