What information do we collect?
personal data provided by the customer, including first name and surname, address, contact details, and documents submitted during the verification process;
history of interactions with the platform: which games the player has played, the nature of their communications with customer support, and which promotions they have taken advantage of;
payment details: a history of deposits and withdrawals, their amounts, exact dates, as well as a history of bets and winnings;
technical details about the user’s device (device type, operating system, IP address), time zone and preferred interface language.
How does Megapari protect customer data?
The disclosure of sensitive customer data without the customer’s consent may cause harm to Megapari users; furthermore, such unauthorised actions are punishable by law. Megapari therefore takes care to ensure that customer data is securely protected.
Player information must not be disclosed to third parties. The only potential exception would be an official request from a government authority, made in accordance with legal requirements and requiring a mandatory response; however, given the company’s offshore location, neither foreign courts nor tax authorities typically contact Megapari.
All information must be encrypted. All data (not just personal information) transmitted between the user’s device and the Megapari server must be end-to-end encrypted – that is, it can only be decrypted at these two endpoints. Intercepting traffic is pointless for fraudsters: the data is encrypted just as securely as it is by banks.
Any threat to data security triggers an immediate response from the security team. Upon detecting suspicious activity, the security team may require the user to re-verify their identity – whilst this is not always convenient for the player, it does protect them from account theft. Account holders themselves can use the tools in their personal account to monitor their login history, and if they do not recognise any of the sessions, they have the right to contact customer support immediately.
How is Megapari’s privacy policy updated?
As new legislation comes into force or for other reasons, Megapari’s privacy policy may change over time. The company takes the necessary steps to ensure that players are made aware of these changes – in particular, by using more than one channel of communication (for example, a notification in the personal account and a separate email). By continuing to use the platform after receiving a notification, the customer is deemed to have been informed of the changes and to have agreed to them.
